Invercargill Seventh-day Adventist Church began in December 1921 and has been on its present site since 1964. The current building was built by church members out of beautiful Oamaru Sandstone. Though the building is growing older, it is the people inside who are the life and heart of our church. You are invite you to visit the Invercargill Seventh-day Adventist Church this Saturday to fellowship and worship with us. Our church members come from different backgrounds but are united by their love for God, their desire to learn more about the bible and their willingness to serve other people.
To be ‘that caring church’ where you and your family are empowered to have an abundant life through a transforming relationship with Jesus.
Each Saturday morning at 9:30am the worship service begins with a small group bible study. There are many different groups for people to choose from. There are Sabbath School Classes which suit people of varying abilities and knowledge. Talk to one of the greeters at the door and they will help you find a group to join. Do you have children? Don’t worry! There are a number of classes that are suitable for children of all ages.
The main service begins at 11:00am every Saturday. This is the highlight of the program each Sabbath. Those who are unable to make it to Sabbath School, can still arrive in time for the main church service each week. The worship service can vary from week to week. However, the service usually includes singing, prayer, and a message delivered by one of the church pastors. Visitors are not expected to sing, pray or donate. Most of all, we simply want you to enjoy yourself as you learn more about God.
